Years ago Reno-man and I noticed that our hens liked to forage in the unmowed section of our field once in a while. Every few minutes they would stop, stretch out their necks to the top of the weeds, and look around.  Presumably, this was to check that the coop was still near, and to take a look at the world, quite literally, from a different point of view.  We found it so amusing.  chicken

Life at my Victorian cottage continues to heal, and alertness grows.  Isn't Spring a wonderful tonic? Dear reader, I had such a bad day with mood swings all day.  ...A lot of crying...  I started physiotherapy yesterday and the therapist was very rough.  She left a bruise on the back of my hand and my hand and fingers have been swollen all day.  I just spent 2 months in rehab where I learned to treat my weak side with respect and my arm like crystal and this witch has ruined it for who knows

A dear friend and I walked about Lunenburg last week visiting galleries, poking in shoppes and enjoying our simple lunch on a deck that looked out over the harbour.  Unfortunately,  this is only half the story.  It started to pour so we had to leave early.  Ohhhh ... but there were so many more beautiful photos waiting for me to discover.  I was so disappointed about our outing being cut short.

Our teeny vegetable garden has begun to give of its bounty. Our first harvest was these garlic scapes. I chopped them in my mini processor with olive oil, and then froze them in ice cube trays so we can add them to soups and pasta sauces come winter. Guess what I learned to make today?  How to make the copyright symbol! One just never knows when one is going to need to copyright something. So, if you have a PC keyboard and would like to try it open a word document, hold down the Ctrl and Alt keys at the same time and then type the letter C. My nephew Zack was set apart as an LDS missionary today, and given a beautiful blessing by the Stake President. He is going to serve the Lord for the next 2 years in the Edmonton, Alberta Mission. Good news continues because .... Hallelujah!
